Due to body armour and cybernetics, hand-thrown explosive weapons have grown ineffective, requiring increased yields and features to justify use. Even this basic grenade used by CSA Combat Shells is enhanced with IFF tagging. A grenade hit may not eliminate your enemies, but they will glow like a Christmas tree on the AR overlay, unable to hide.
