Crisis Levels
In Deadlink there are three crisis levels, them being VR Orientation, Deep Dive, and Neuromancy, in the order of least to most difficult. Each crisis level affects the game in many ways, including increased enemy health, armor, speed, etc., but also increased rewards like XP & Tokens.
VR-Orientation is the only difficulty unlocked on a new save, and both Deep Dive and Neuromancy require completing a run at the previous difficulty to unlock (not shell-specific). Completing Neuromancy also unlocks a unique primary weapon Skin for the Combat Shell used when completing said run.
VR Orientation is the easiest difficulty, is unlocked by default, and the effects include:
- 20 XP after combat arena
- 50 XP from XP doors
- 1 Token from token doors
- 200 XP from defeating a Boss
- 3 Tokens from defeating a Boss
- 50% Health restored at healing doors
- Marked Enemies drop 10 Shield
- C-Balls drop 2 secondary weapon ammo
Deep Dive is the second hardest difficulty, unlocked by completing a run on VR Orientation, and the effects include:
- 30 XP from defeating combat encounter
- 60 XP from XP doors
- 1 Token from token doors
- 400 XP from defeating a Boss
- 4 Tokens from defeating a Boss
- 50% Health restored at healing doors
- Marked Enemies drop 6 Shield
- C-Balls drop 2 secondary weapon ammo
- Marked effect duration 10s -> 6s
- Shop & Rare Neuralboost prices 25% higher
- Enemies have 110% health
- Enemies have 150 bonus armor
- Enemies deal 20% more damage
The hardest difficulty, unlocked by completing a run on Deep Dive, and completing a run on this difficulty grants a weapon skin for the primary weapon of the combat shell used.
The effects of this difficulty include:
- 45 XP from defeating combat encounter
- 75 XP from XP doors
- 2 Tokens from token doors
- 850 XP from defeating a Boss
- 7 Tokens from defeating a Boss
- 35% Health restored at healing doors
- Marked Enemies drop 5 Shield
- C-Balls drop 1 secondary weapon ammo
- Marked effect duration 10s -> 4s
- Shop & Rare Neuralboost prices 50% higher
- Enemies have 110% health
- Enemies have 250 bonus armor
- Enemies deal 20% more damage
- Enemies are 25% faster
